Get Your Freak On Tag - 15 Random Questions

Today I am going to be doing the "Get Your Freak Your Freak On Tag" I used to love watching this tag on YouTube when it first came out, I think the questions are super funny.  LETS GO! :D

1. What's a nickname only your family calls you?
Laura Machine.  Your probably thinking wtf?  That nickname came about when we were on Holiday in Majorca about ten years ago now, and the kids entertainment team had a character called Bufo.  Long story short Bufo had a song where he called himself Bufo Machine, I loved this so much I kept calling myself Laura machine, and well it kind of just stuck.

2. What's a weird habit of yours?
I also have to be even.  If some one pokes me on the right arm I have to be poked on the left arm.  Otherwise my whole homeostasis is out of balance (ey ey homeostasis, GCSE science coming in handy there ;)).

3. Do you have any weird phobias?
I have a fear of chocking, so I rarely eat boiled sweets and can't swallow tablets, which really really annoys me.  I don't know if that's a weird phobia though, or just a normal one hehe.

4. What's a song you secretly LOVE to blast & belt out when you're alone?
Anything Disney.  Mariah Carey Fantasy or Always Be My Baby.  Whitney Houston "OHHH I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY!" :)

5. What's one of your biggest pet peeves?
People who put other people down or judge people for doing something they love.  Just because you don't understand something and why someone would want to do something doesn't mean it isn't right! (THAT MAKES NO SENSE BUT I KNOW WHAT I MEAN! Congrats if you do too ;)).

6. What's one of your nervous habits?
Nail biting, hair twirling, tapping of feet, pulling of clothes, heavy breathing, lots of pacing etc.

7. What side of the bed do you sleep on?
Well I have a single bed.  However if I had a double bed I would definitely be a starfish kind of girl.

8. What was your first stuffed animal & it's name?
Well the first teddy I ever had was a duck and I called her chicken :') however she was never my favourite.  My first favourite toy was a cat called Teco.  I still have both though ^_^... well I actually have all my soft toys, I can't bare to bin any of them.

9. What's the drink you ALWAYS order at Starbucks?
I think where I live is the only place that doesn't have a Starbucks, however I would order a White Peppermint Mocha <3.

10. What's the beauty rule you preach.. but never ACTUALLY practice?
Don't pick your spots! :'( wish I didn't!

11. Which way do you face in the shower?
Spin around and dance through out the whole shower.

12. Do you have any 'weird' body 'skills'?
I think I'm double jointed in my arms so some people think thats weird when I push them out, I don't see it though hehe.

13. What's your favourite 'comfort food'/food that's 'bad' but you love to eat it anyways?

14. What's a phrase or exclamation you always say?
Lolzz, Lame, Doo da doo lifes good! (comment if you know where I got that from ;)).  And then I always quote famous people hehe.  Lots of Maya Angelou.

15. Time to sleep- what are you ACTUALLY wearing?
100% my PJS are the cutest clothes I own and wear, spend more money on cute PJS then actually buying clothes for the day hehe.  So yes, PJS before bed :).

I hope you enjoyed this post, please leave your link below if you have answered these questions on your blog, if you haven't I tag you to do them! :D

Barcelona Vlog

Okay so I realise I never finished my posts on Barcelona or my Caribbean cruise.  I did two posts about the Caribbean and one about Barcelona and then somehow, well... I forgot to finish them.

So, I have made a small YouTube video collecting some of the clips I have from Barcelona.  It's not many, but it will give you a quick insight in to Barcelona, if you've never been before.

Click here to watch the Vlog

And because I never finished the posts, here are some pictures of my mini break to Barcelona this June:

My Weekend #1

This is the first post in my weekend blog post series.  The date this weekend was 14.09.14/15.09.14.

This weekend was the first weekend since our first full week back at school, so it was truly needed.  Saturday morning I felt like a mum on a mission running her weekly errands I had to go to Boots, TK Maxx, the gym and the dry cleaners.  It was in the moment, when I was walking back to the car that I realised how much simpler life would be that day if I could drive, ahh well, moment's past now and I'm not bothered about driving again hehe.

In Boots I bought some new Shampoo and Conditioner, the green Herbal Essences one.  I love the smell of Herbal Essences products so much and they're actually really good hair products.

I also bought Garniers new Micellar Cleansing Water, a three in one product which removes make up, cleanses and soothes your skin tone *allegedly* I'll do a review once I have tried it a bit more.  Dry shampoo was a must on my shopping list, I would be lost with out it.  And I am trying a new product "Say Yes to Cucumber" a sensitive skin daily facial wash, which I am going to use before bed.  As at the moment I only have an exfoliating one which is drying my skin out.

After Boots I went to the gym and ran 3k for the first time.  My next aim is 5k.  I also did 15 minutes on what I like to call the sit down bike (not 100% on its actually name).  And then to finish I did some weight training and abs.  I haven't been the gym much this week, as I have had a cold (but it feels like it's almost gone now) so hopefully I'll be there more this week.  On the way to running 5k.

Once I finished off my other bits and bobs I got the bus home and chilled out on the sofa before getting ready for the evening.  I was meeting my friends that evening for a meal, as a lot of my friends are going to Uni this year.  We went to my favourite local Italian restaurant.  I had Penni pasta, with chicken and broccoli in a creamy cheesy sauce.  TREATS!.  My outfit for the evening was a dress from the Kate Moss collection in Topshop, I absolutely love this dress, but my mum and auntie don't share the same love for it as I do (let me know in the comments what you think).

(only photo of the evening that I took of myself and I love horrible, the spot on my chin is almost as big as my head, which is very big! haha).

Sunday morning me and Graihagh from the Church Youth group I am in went around a couple of Churches where we live talking about our trip to Lourdes with the Archdiocese of Liverpool (I may do a whole blog post about Lourdes, as it is a very special place).  I however forgot to write anything down for what I was going to say, so I completely improvised.  This worked in my favour though and I thought I did very well.  No one can say it didn't come from the heart hehe.  We then had tea and coffee and I won a Toberlone in a raffle (YES!).

After Church I went to visit my grandparents, they have just spent the last two weeks in Corfu.  The villa they stayed in look so beautiful, however they didn't like that it was so far away from every thing else.  They bought me back some pressies.

I love the bling, and I think I'll drink the Oúzo with some Lemonade haha.

I then went home and chilled out with a hot chocolate and wrote this blog post.

What did you all do this weekend?  Anything interesting?  I think I'll do a few more of these weekend post, if there is anything good to report that is hehe.

Hope you all had a good week, and I'll speak to you soon.  Byeee.

PS:  Now I'm having a slice of Pizza, and OMG it's so good <3!

August Favourites

I was asked by the ever so lovely Lulu to do my August favourites.  I also watch these videos on YouTube so it would be fun to do a blog post on them hehe.

Beauty Favourites
I am not going to lie I don't have many beauty faves for this month.  As it's been summer I haven't really been wearing a lot of make up or buying new beauty products.  However I went out the other night for my friends 19th birthday and I wore a Rimmel London's Scandal Eyes.

I have the blue but I defo want to buy another one, probably the purple.  These chubby eye liners are so good, they stay super pigmented and strong for ages!  And I meant for agesss.  That is probably the only down side to them as for the next few days after I had a blue tinge to my water line hehe.

Here is a picture (selfie hehe) of me in Barcelona with the Blue Scandal Eyes on my waterline.

Non Beauty Favourites
Over the summer me and my mum and dad have been binge watching Dexter, and OMG how it has become the best thing EVER to me!!  Officially my favourite show.  I am now on series 6 and I have already seen some of series 8 (weird I know but that's what I watched first hehe).  I don't want it to end though.  If you don't know what Dexter is or have never herd about it i'll give you a little insight; basically, he's a serial killer.  But a good one hehe. Dexter Morgan is a blood spatter analysts for Miami metro homicide, he has a "dark passenger" from a horrible incident when he was three years old and watched his own mothers murder.  Dexter was trained by his step father a cop to keep his demons in side, he now follows a code and only kills people who deserve to die.  Might sound creepy and a tad scary but believe me it's amazing.  Michael C Hall is such a good actor, one of my top 5 now.  He makes Dexter this lovable character, which is a strange concept considering he is a serial killer hehe.
Another non beauty favourite of mine this month has been Netflix (okay it sounds like all I did this summer was watch TV, but then again that might be kinda true hehe kidding).  I have never had Netflixs before but at the start of this month my dad signed up for it (following me getting the first free month hehe, but I cancelled mine and use theirs now :)).  I love Orange is the New Black.  At first it was very awkward, but once you get over the awkward moments you realise how cleverly written it is and how unique of a programme it is.  I am on episode 10 of the first series so only a couple more before I finish now.

Lastly this month I have been loving my pink Instax Fujifilm.  I got my polaroid camera back in January but have only really just started using it.  I love it, the photos always look super cool and "indie", yes the print is rather pricey but I think it's worth it, and it's not like I spend my money on alcohol every weekend, that would be a waste hehe.  The cameras are £50 and it's becoming a trend with my friends now to have one, so far three of us to but soon I think the whole gang will.  A rainbow of Fujifilm hehe.

Hope you enjoyed this, sorry there wasn't much beauty, but I am not going to lie about products hehe.
