My 2015 New Years Resolutions

I always have the idea of New Year Resolutions, but the likelihood of me actually sticking to them, is well... slim to none hehe.

However, this year I am going to stick to them!! (well i'll try very hard too).

1) Get in to shape

Okay, I don't want everyone to freak out and be like "no you don't need to loose weight" as I am a healthy weight but over Christmas I haven't been too healthy.  I have a gym membership but haven't been in weeks!!  It seemed the minute it hit December I was like "Bye bye gym" hehe.

So my goal is once the New Year starts and I am back at school i'm going to go the gym everyone Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and aim for Saturday mornings (if that doesn't happen though I won't be too upset).  As long as I go three times a week!.

I am also contemplating on buying the Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide.  The reviews I have read seem really promising and all the before and after photo Kayla posts of her clients on Instagram are just amazing.  My only issues is weather I could stick to it or not.

2) Become more studious

In the New Year I really want to concentrate on my school work.  I am in my last year of Sixth Form now and I really want to be able to finish the year and go in to the exams with the confidence that I tried my hardest.

I am going to create a study timetable using the website Get Revising.  I used it for my GCSE's and it came in super useful.  It allows you to plot your time really well and manage all your study, leaving slots for free time.

3) Keep my room clean

I am a self diagnosed hoarder.  I keep everything, never junk, but everything.  I can never get rid of something someone gave me.  I am getting much better at it though and have just done a HUGEE clear out!  I still have some more to do, but in the NY my goal is to keep my room nice and clean and not keep everything.  I want a room that's not full of stuff.  A room where I can see all my things nicely lay out :).

4) Don't stress the small things

I find myself worrying 80 times a day about the future, what i'm going to be doing, what I haven't done, why I'm not at uni yet etc etc.  I always worry about stupid things and I need to stop.  I want to live in the moment more, in the present day.  Spending more time with people around me working on myself now and not worrying about things that aren't going to happen for 10 years or more.  I read a good article once and It said "20 year olds worrying about their 30s" and that's just like me.  I can't control the future, you don't know one day from the next and I need to stop worrying about the future and trust that everything will work out in the end :).

5) Others opinions don't matter

I get better at this one each year as I get older but worrying about what others think of you is a big issue for many of us.  I need to be my own person, if people don't like what i'm doing and are going to judge me for it then clearly they aren't my real friends.  In 2015 I am only going to listen to the opinions of my family and true friends.  Lots of the time we hurt ourselves just so we fit in.  I don't want to fit in.  I want to stand out.  And if that makes me weird, well, just call me the weird girl ^_^.

Please let me know in the comments below what your NY Resolutions are, I would love to read them! ^_^

Thanks for reading, speak soon.

What I got for Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE (okay, from three days ago hehe).

I hope you all had a wonderful and happy Christmas, and you all got everything you wanted!

Today I am going to share with you what I got for Christmas.  Before we start I just want to say the typical Christmas/birthday haul disclaimer, NO I AM NOT BRAGGING hehe.  And in my personal opinion I think it's really bad when people make others feel bad for what they got for Christmas, I want my family and friends to know I am thankful and grateful for what I got, and by sharing it on here, or any form of Social media, a place they can see my presents, it allows them to know I am thankful.  Yes I very much understand some people are less fortunate and I feel very upset that they don't get a good Christmas, but I want my family to know I appraicte everything they do for me and that I am thankful for everything I got! ^_^.  Hopefully someone agrees with me, and this doesn't get taken in the wrong way.

I won't comment on each present, but if you have any questions on anything feel free to ask :D

Okay lets start before I dig myself a bigger hole hehe.

Main Presents

For my first main present I got a Go Pro Camera! :D I am so excited to use this camera, not that I actually do any hardcore sports but I'll find something good to film.

Along with the camera I got all the hit needed such as a selfie stick (which seems to be the most common present of 2014 hehe), a head mound, chest mound and a one so I can take it in the water.  Which will be so useful for when we go on holiday in the summer.  I can film the sea! :D

My Second main present was a metal detector! :D.  Which may seem rather odd to you, it is to most people don't worry.  But I really wanted one, my dad has one and I thought it would be something cool we could do together.  It's clearly not the typical girl present though hehe.

I haven't taken it out properly yet, but I used it in the front garden and found a £1 coin! :D That's good for your first go hehe.

Makeup and Beauty

I love all the makeup and beauty products I got this year, everyone knows we so well hehe.  I especially love these Jack Wills chubby pens, they come out really pigmented and stay on for ages.  I am not a huge Jack Wills clothes fan, just because I have had a few bad experiences dealing with them and the quality of their clothes does not reflect in the price.  However these lippy pens are super good! :D

I asked for some new makeup brushes so was very excited to see these, I may have hinted for Real Techniques but still hehe.  I have only used the buffing brush so far but it is super good and super soft.  It also doesn't leave any harsh lines when you put your makeup on.

Eeeeekk Miss Dior! <3.  This has to be one of my favourite perfumes of all time, the bottle is so classy as well and looks so good on my dressing table hehe.

My grandparents got me this hair brush, it uses Ionic technology (not too sure what that means) in simple terms - it gets rid of the static in your hair hehe.  So far it has been really good! :D

For agesss now I have wanted some black low top converse so I am so happy I now have some! :D they're such a simple shoe but they go with everything!  Well almost everything, and I think they're a pair of shoes almost every girl needs hehe.

Of lots of my family I either got money or vouchers, so I thought I would include a picture for them hehe ^_^.   I don't think i'll spend them in the sales however, I think i'll wait till Jan, for all the new stock to come out.

I got a lot of chocolate for Christmas.  I don't know when I am going to eat it all hehe.  Well saying that its never taken me long before, I just feel very sick by the time we go back to school hehe.

And lastly just some cool and random presents I got.

I used to always eat my dinner off one of these, but then we became fancy and now sit at a table like normal people hehe.  However on Friday nights, after I finish work, we always get a take away, so this is going to come in so handy hehe.

You may be thinking "what is that?  A mini carton of milk?".  Yes I'll admit it does look like that, but in fact its a phone charger, you charge the milk bottle and then put it in your bag.  That way, when you're out and about, and if you're phone runs out of charge (which mine always does) you won't run out of battery! :D.  The only issue I probably now have, is i'll probably forget to put the milk in my bag hehe.

And last but by no means least, is a beautiful Yankee Candle! <3.  I loveeeee YK candles.  Especially this one, it smells divine.  This is my first ever super big YK candle and I am so excited to burn it! ^_^.

And that's a wrap!:D.  I really hope you found this interesting, I am sorry if it sounds like I am bragging, I don't mean for it to at all!!  I just love watching these videos every Christmas on YouTube and I really wanted a way to document what I got for Christmas! :D

Please leave me a link to your blog if you have a post on what you got for Christmas! ^_^ and if not please just leave a comment on what you got, I would love to know.

Thanks everyone!  Merry Christmas! ^_^

My Favourite Christmas Films

Today I went to the cinema with my mum and little cousin Ruby to watch, Get Santa, it was actually really good, I would definitely recommend it.  But it made me want to share with you my top Christmas films so grab yourself a cup of tea and lets compare top Christmas films.

1) Home Alone

Home Alone 1 +2 are hands down my favourite Christmas films, if I don't watch these two every year... well it's just not Christmas hehe.

2) Elf

I find it difficult for anyone not to like elf, it's such an easy watch and so so funny!  I can quote most of the film and in fact after I write this post, I am going to watch it hehe.

3) Die Hard

I may look like a girly girl, but I love action films.  Die Hard is a classic; most people may not see this as a Christmas film, but come on it's set at Christmas.  Yesterday I watched the 2nd one for the first time, the story isn't as good but the amount of action in it is pure kick ass!!  John McClane is a machine!

4) National Lampoons Christmas Vacation

If you like Home Alone I think you will love the film, I just find the dad so funny!  He reminds me a lot of Homer Simpson hehe.

5) Frozen

Okay again technically not a Christmas film, but I just love Frozen so much, and any excuse to watch it and sing along hehe.

6) The Polar Express

I only watched this for the first time last year, but I love it!!  We tried to watch it when I was younger, but my mum and dad find the animation weird... but hey, I like it!  Tom Hanks as a cartoon is a tad freaky, but come on it's Tom Hanks hehe.

7) New Years Eve

Again not technically a Christmas film, but at this time of year I just love watching New Years Eve.  Zac Efron is just perfect in it!

What are some of your favourite Christmas films?  Please leave any suggestions for me to watch below ^_^.  I really need to watch Love Actually, White Christmas and the all time favourite It's a Wonderful Life; i've never seen them! :)

Thanks for reading,

Things To Do At Christmas

Hi Everyone,

Today I thought I would create a small list of things to do at Christmas, as no one and I mean no one should be bored over Christmas.

1) Build a snowman (if you have snow that is.  Any Australians here?  You can build a sand man ;') ).

(Snow day back in 2010, introducing Sophie and Snowy hehe).

(Also 2010, me aged 14).

2) Make your own Christmas theme cafe in your house, with Mince pies, Hot Chocolate, Eggnog the lot!

(No, sorry, I didn't make these.  My mum actually won them in a Christmas comp hehe).

3) Make your own DIY Christmas cards and decorations, they're so much fun to make, and everyone will love the fact you have puts lots of effort in.  Homemade decorations look super cool as well.

4) Turn your living room in to a cinema, invite your friends over, get lots of sweets and snacks in and watch all your favourite Christmas movies.

We called this night "Cringy Christmas"; everyone had to wear a cringy Christmas jumper.  This had to be the best Christmas party I've been to, it was just one big massive sleepover, we played tons of games (games Vs each other as well).  We had dance competitions, a big meal.  It was just pure fun! :D.  Something like this is a great way to celebrate Christmas with your friends.

5) Have a Christmas theme pamper night for yourself, get a Lush Christmas bubble bath, paint your nails Christmas themed and stick some Christmas classic beats on.

6) Go on a walk with your camera and take some pictures of the beautiful winter scenery and nature.  You could even once home print them out and use them for your Christmas Cards.

7) Pig out, I have done a lot of this already and we're only on the 10th of December.  So buy yourself lots of treats and have a pig out session... whilst watching Elf for the 20millionth time hehe.  And hey, don't worry about putting on a few pounds, it's Winter; we need to stay warm hehe.

8) Play board games with your family.  Spending time with your family is one of the greatest blessings of Christmas, drag out Monopoly and Buckaroo and have some great family fun (or family arguments over who has won the game hehe).

9) If your of legal drinking age, go to a nice cocktail bar and try out the Christmas specials with your girlfriends.

(okay so this was actually taken in summer, but ahh well hehe).

10) Do lots and lots of Christmas shopping, eeekk I love Christmas shopping, the challenge of finding the perfect present for people... challenge accepted!

Me and my friend Emily this year watching the Christmas lights get turned on and doing a spot of Christmas shopping ^_^.

Hopefully these ideas will keep you occupied over Christmas and get you in the festive sprit.  I AM :D
